The best of Isractive training methodology in a fun and motivating social environment. Isractive presents a host of running and group fitness workout sessions that provide you  with  the perfect combination of activities to improve your all-round fitness and movement abilties. 

All round body conditioning sessions helping you to develop relevant and applicable strength and movement abilities. Both the 'Solid Foundations' and 'Isractive Intense' classes are geared around providing you with the most fundamental elements of any successful and functional fitness program. Additionally, and bearing in mind the reality of our sedentary lifestyles coupled with our experience of trainees tendencies to regularly skip mobility and flexibility work when training alone, we highly recommend regular participation in our ’Stretch & Release’ workshop. 

Solid Foundations - As the name suggests this workout will give you all the tools you need in order to improve your integrated strength and movement abilities. Focussing on form and technique you will learn how to control your body in ways like you never have before!

Isractive Intense - High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) the Isractive way. After honing your skills and building solid foundations this session will push you to the next level. During the class you will perform a combination of the most functional integrated movement exercises that will test the limits your strength and stamina. Not for the faint hearted!

As one of our primary functions as Humans, running is something we take very seriously at Isractive. You’ve probably heard many claims that running is the best or easiest way to get you fit but Isractive follows the mantra ‘You’ve got to be fit in order to run’. 

With our mantra in mind we put huge emphasis on running technique and cardiovascular performance over just dragging out the kilometres in the hope that your running will eventually improve. This way you gain the skills to develop and maintain power and speed in the most efficient way whilst avoiding the common complaints of novice runners (of ankle, shin, knee, hip or lower back issues/injuries).

With our combination of Technique, Intervals, and Distance Run sessions you will see a consistent improvement week on week with your running performance. In order to maintain a balanced approach to training we recommend that for every distance session that you attend you also participate in at least one of the technique/intervals classes in the same week. Additionally we strongly encourage our Isractive Runners to regularly attend the Solid Foundations strength workout to provide you with the fundamentals that are so essential to fitness and movement.

Technique - a combination of exercises and drills to improve your running style or gait. You’ll hone your skills for landing, absorbing and developing power in the most efficient style to make your running feel like you’re flying. How do I hold my head? How do I breathe? What should I do with my arms? Do I rotate? All theses questions and many more answered and abilities upgraded in preparation for taking your running out in to the world.

Intervals - as simple as it sounds. This session is the best way to improve your cardiovascular performance. Increase your VO2max and conversion of energy into power and you’ll notice a consistent improvement in your ability to run more easily and for longer when taking your running to the streets. How do we do it? - for variety every session is different. You’ll find out each time when you show up!

Distance Run - this is your time to shine. With your top technique and improved endurance you can enjoy every step and every breath whilst absorbing the sights and sounds of Tel Aviv. With regularly changing routes you’ll test your new found abilities out in the wild. Isractive offers shorter routes with a more gentle pace for beginners, and longer courses for those that have been running for a while. The fun group vibe along with the expert guidance of your coach guarantee you’ll go home with an endorphin rush and runners high!

What do I need to know?

 

Times and locations

Class times and locations are detailed on the class timetable (above) and on the class registration application.

It is recommended to arrive 5 minutes before the listed class time. We do not wait for anyone - especially when leaving the meeting point for our distance runs!

All our classes are outdoor sessions and are based around the ‘Old North’ of Tel Aviv. Locations are subject to change but we will endeavour for the most part to stick within the following boundaries: No further south than Sderot Nordau, No further north than the northern bank of the Yarkon river, and no further east than Ibn Gbvirol.

 

What should I bring?

Sports wear suitable for running. 

Shoes - durable running shoes, ideally with a neutral/flat step as to not interfere with your technique.

Water (whilst there will often be water fountains close by in the parks but we can’t guarantee their state of function so it is best to bring your own).

Towel (for technique and interval sessions only).

 

How much does it cost?

299nis/month

 

Just for comparison

  • Attending 2 sessions per week = 37.5nis/session
  • Attending 3 sessions per week = 25nis/session
  • Attending 4 sessions per week = 18nis/session

 

We’re sure you’ll agree that it sounds like the best value around!

 

Membership is on a per month rolling basis. Payment is accepted by credit/debit card only. Payment will be taken (pro-rata) at time of registration and on the 5th day (or closest business day) of each month thereafter. Minimum membership term is 2 months. There are no registration or cancellation fees. Cancellation requests must be submitted a minimum of 30days in advance via the online cancellation request form. (For example, if you request cancellation on or before 3rd May you will not be charged on 5th June for the June subscription. If however you request cancellation on 7th May you will be charged for the June subscription; cancellation in time for July will then be automatic).

 

How do I register for each session?

Registration for sessions is easy!

Simply use the Isractive booking application (or smartphone app) to save your spot! Places are reserved on a first come first served basis so it is recommended that you register promptly to avoid disappointment. Class registration closes at 14:00 for sessions later that day and at 20.00 for sessions the following morning - submissions after these times may not be accepted).

To cancel or change your registration just revisit the listed session within the application and click ‘cancel’. (Please note Isractive operates a 3 strike policy with regard to notifying cancellations. If you register for a class and fail to attend without prior notification (no less than an hour before) on 3 occasions then you will be barred from registering classes for 2 weeks. - A little forward planning and consideration to each other will help maintain high standards and ensure well planned classes for all in the Isractive community).

Isractive operates on the foundation of improving human movement abilities and efficiency. With this in mind, our programs are built to carefully take you through the stages of training and ensuring consistent progress whilst minimising injury. Stretch & Release - important to note - THIS IS NOT YOGA!! Come and learn the safest way to increase your flexibility and release your short or ‘knotted’ tissues. Whilst other programs often skip muscle release techniques favouring the promotion of dangerous hyper-mobility habits, at Isractive our stretching sessions focus on the fundamentals of healthy muscle length and range of motion in order to provide the most proportional and functional mobility that will aid efficiency, longevity and pain free movement.

TRAINING LOCATIONS

Isractive is based in the 'Old North" of Tel Aviv. Private training sessions usually take place at Kolnoa Peer Fitness Club, occasionally in private workout facilities, and when appropriate out in the field (park).
